Hallway Studios Charity Skydive 2009
We're jumping out of a perfectly good plane this summer!
What's the story?
Local business owner and lifetime Abbots Langley resident Matthew Hall (of web design firm Hallway Studios) has organised a fund raising event sure to test the nerves - a sky dive! "I've wanted to do a sky dive for about 3 years now, but never got around to organising it. This year I have finally gotten everything in place and have also decided to raise for two charities very close to my heart at the same time". Matthew has also managed to recruit PCSO Nicky Dormer of Croxley Green to join him in the death defying leap for charity, with at least another 4 brave souls awaiting confirmation. The event will be raising funds for Muscular Dystrophy Campaign and Sands (stillbirth and neonatal death charity). Matthew explains his choice of charities: "I chose Muscular Dystrophy Campaign as I have sadly missed out on an Uncle from my mothers side because of this disease, and also I know several others that have been affected in some way by muscle wasting diseases. I also chose Sands because both my Aunt and a very close friend have suffered through stillbirth, and Sands are doing a great job of providing support to those affected and also funding leading research". The jump will be held in early August, with hopes for at least £1000 raised as a result.
